I am Nigel Ryan, a photographic artist based in London. My work is rooted in layered abstraction, atmosphere, and movement.

I often blend many exposures into a single piece, letting each layer gently reveal hidden details and emotional cues over time. My intent is to distil both the energy and stillness of a place in such a way that the resulting image can be interpreted in different ways.

My work has been exhibited internationally, including at The Other Art Fair, Flux Exhibition, New Artists Fair, and Boomer Gallery, and has been recognised with Honourable Mentions at the International Photography Awards.

I'm a member of Axis, the Visual Artists Association, and the Association of Photographers.

Public Art & Unexpected Places

Art Beyond the Gallery

My work has also travelled beyond traditional exhibition spaces: into the daily life of Shoreditch at Coffee Matters, into the flow of London through Art Below, and into the skies on European flights with Onboart. These settings allow the images to meet people in motion, often when they least expect to encounter art.
